Moldova Business Week 2019 brings to the fore the investment potential of niche sectors
“Grow in Moldova!” – with this call begins the 6th edition of Business Week in Moldova – an international economic event that highlights policies, reforms, trends and success stories, connecting the participants to the opportunities provided by the business environment in our country.
Organized by the Moldovan Investment Agency in collaboration with development partners and the associative sector, Moldova Business Week 2019 will be held on November 13-16 in Chisinau. Over 1000 entrepreneurs, investors, importers and experts are expected to attend the event, to learn that the economic ambitions of our country are based on a sustainable economic growth, a fiscal system friendly to the business environment and an unprecedented openness to establish solid and transparent commercial relations with partners around the world.
The agenda of Moldova Business Week 2019 will include panels with top experts, who will share their visions and trends to follow in terms of entrepreneurship, business development, promoting exports and attracting investments to our country.
There will be 4 intense days, during which over 100 local speakers and 26 speakers from 15 other countries will discuss the opportunities and challenges of the strategic sectors, but also of the niche sectors, with the potential to generate high added value.
Moldova Business Week will start with panels dedicated to key reforms to improve the investment climate, progress and challenges of foreign investors in Moldova, followed by an individual B2B discussions session, during which the local and foreign business representatives will interact directly, to establish mutually beneficial partnerships.
On the second day, along with the traditional discussion panels, dedicated to the agri-food industry, tourism and the ICT sector, Moldova Business Week 2019 will highlight the unexplored potential of the creative industries and the TV/film production, the organic food sector and the renewable energy industry.
The main topics addressed in the discussion panels:
AGRIFOOD: the general presentation of the agricultural sector in terms of investment opportunities in the zootechnics, food processing, horticulture and wine industry subsectors; presentation of the organic farming sector; success stories and presentation of investment profiles;
CREATIVE INDUSTRIES AND CINEMA & TV PRODUCTION: overview of the creative industries sector; international and local trends; the film potential of Moldova and its impact on economic development; the potential of media production; success stories in the field, etc.;
GREEN ENERGY: energy and climate policies for 2020-2030; regional experience regarding the implementation and operation of wind farms; success stories of foreign investors, etc.;
TOURISM: Moldova Tourism 2030 – policies to scale emerging tourism destinations, cultural and adventure products – the unexplored potential of Moldova; promotion trends and sales tools through Digital Media and Social Media, etc.;
INFORMATION & COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY, BPO & SCC: Virtual IT Park - internationally recognized business model; digital infrastructure, start-ups; connecting education with the business environment; the advantages of regional IT cooperation, etc.
MBW evolves with each edition, and this year MBW will confirm its maturity, hosting for the first time under its umbrella 3 major events:
- Moldova Automotive Days (November 14-15), this year’s edition biseing dedicated to Mechatronics, clustering, research and development (R&D) issues;
- Pro Export Forum (November 15), a platform dedicated entirely to exporters, namely the provision of tools to conquer new markets, promote their own products more efficiently, export more eficiently;
- Moldova in Fashion (November 16), which will focus on concepts describing the future of the fashion industry: sustainability, ethics, 3D technologies.

Moldova Business Week is the most important business event in the country, organized in the capital Chisinau since 2014.
